A discussion of antisemitism, solidarity, and justice for Palestine
Antisemitism remains a real and present danger in our society; at the same time, the way in which charges of antisemitism are mobilised, and even the definition of antisemitism itself, are hugely controversial.
To mark the publication of ‘On Antisemitism: Solidarity and the Struggle for Justice’ – published by Haymarket Books and collated by Jewish Voice for Peace – this event brings together leading scholars and activists to discuss the specificity and actuality of antisemitism; its relation to other forms of racism; and the demonisation of calls for justice for Palestine.
Speakers
- Antony Lerman, contributor to ‘On Antisemitism’ and Senior Fellow at the Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue, on the uses and abuses of antisemitism
- Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, Free Speech on Israel, on antisemitism, racism, and Jewish people of colour
Chair Mike Cushman, Free Speech on Israel
Further speakers to be confirmed
